While the external environment inspires, it is the internal landscape that compels me to create art. Ideas flow from everyday experience. A writer and visual artist, I often weave words with images to create a encounter for the viewer that invites thinking twice. Indulging in laughter is encouraged when viewing my work. It seems inescapable when examining the human condition.

An early career as a graphic designer developed my ability to focus on a succinct message in visual and written communication. A successful career in higher education provided years of experience collaborating with architects, public artists, interior designers, fine art faculty and students. As founding director of the campus art exhibition program, I interacted with artists of all mediums and from all walks of life. Those artists inspired me and I made the commitment to return to art making.

Visits to the Tower Studio are by appointment only. The recluse is in the Tower, hard at work, most weekdays.
